Daniil is a theater director and composer born in Novokuznetsk, Russia. For 7 years, he has been leading a music theater company, Geometry of Sound, which he created in Russia. He has produced more than 40 productions, including operas, performances, theater festivals, concerts, and exhibition projects. In 2022, as a director and composer, he produced a documentary opera "Your Father is Alive, just don't talk about it" for the GULAG History Museum in Moscow (which received two National Theatre Award nominations), and a production of the musical theater "Relict" for the Venice Biennale in the Piccolo Arsenale Theater. One of Daniil's most significant recent productions is his site-specific opera at the railway station "Hometown Residents" at the International Platonov Arts Festival, and "Another Expression of Human," an electroacoustic performance in a glass elevator. Now he lives in Zurich, studying for a Master's degree in Theater Directing at ZHdK and creating a new theatre company, "3rd echelon theater" as he searches for artistic identity in a new environment. As a composer, his pieces are actively performed in Europe by such ensembles as the Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Phoenix Basel, Quatuor Diotima, United Instruments of Lucilin, Lucern festival ensemble and others.
